Series 1000 Boxcar

The series 1000 Industrial Rail boxcars appear to be on based on a USRA 1937 design. The 40' cars feature a Murphy panel roof and pooling pockets on each end of the car.

The 1000 series box car model shares many of its body details with the 2000 series reefer cars, and the 3000 series stock cars. The roofs, car ends and sills are identical on all three body styles.

Boxcars

Boxcars are general purpose cars used to haul a variety of good.  Because of their enclosed design, they are ideal for transporting freight that needs protection from the elements.
